Dessalines Floyd is a District Literacy Specialist with Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated with a degree in English from The Florida State University/London Study Centre. His love of learning and literature is fueled by his personal interests which include andragogy/pedagogy, neurobiology, educational policy, curriculum and instruction.
Mr. Floyd believes that any educational system which aims to fully engage students in the learning process must place students at the forefront of it all.
